The Department of Human Evolutionary Biology seeks applications for a full-time position that combines postdoctoral research and undergraduate teaching responsibilities. The position is initially for one year with reappointment for additional years contingent upon successful performance and review. The target start date is July 1, 2024. Research responsibilities will involve doing research on the biomechanics and physiology of locomotion in the Skeletal Biology and Biomechanics Laboratory (PI, Professor Daniel Lieberman). Teaching responsibilities will entail and helping supervise undergraduate research in the Skeletal Biology Lab, Peabody Museum, and teaching one upper-level undergraduate course on a topic to be arranged. Additional responsibilities will involve helping assist and training students with specialized equipment in the lab for their research, ensuring lab safety, and managing research activities in the skeletal biology lab. The successful applicant will be hired as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Lecturer in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology.
