Your first faculty teaching job is a landmark step; however, it also can feel stressful and even overwhelming at times. Therefore, it is important to have the guidance of experienced colleagues who are eager to help new faculty learn and grow. The Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking a Lecturer in Anatomy to begin January 2024. It is an opportunity to gain critical classroom experience that will help you launch your career in anatomical education. Responsibilities The primary responsibility of this position will be teaching anatomy labs for undergraduate nursing and health care professions students and team-taught medical gross anatomy labs. Other opportunities for teaching may be available. Minimum Qualifications • PhD or, or equivalent professional training and expertise • Candidates must hold a minimum of a master’s degree (or, PhD candidates without a Master’s, must be All But Dissertation (ABD) Candidates will be evaluated on: • Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship of teaching • Individuals with experience teaching a lab-based human gross anatomy course and a desire to gain additional teaching experience
