OVERVIEW

The Biology Department at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Visiting Faculty position to start September 2019. The appointment is for the 2019-2020 academic year and is not renewable.

The successful candidate will teach no fewer than six introductory and upper-level courses in Biology. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Human Genetics and Evolution OR Ecology/Environmental Science/Conservation Biology.

In addition to teaching, faculty are expected to participate in service to the department, which may include curricular development, undergraduate advising, and community outreach.

The University of St. Thomas Biology Department is a professionally-engaged community that equips undergraduate students to find their passions, embark on meaningful careers, and become responsible, scientifically literate citizens through authentic experiences in science. QUALIFICATIONS A PhD in a related academic discipline and a strong commitment to excellent teaching are required. Previous experience teaching undergraduate coursework is strongly preferred.
