by Ed Hagen last modified May 14, 2014 12:33 AM
Formally announcing the formation of the Mid-Atlantic Bioanthropology Interest Group! This will be a group of faculty, professionals, and graduate students in all fields of biological anthropology, from all types of research and learning institutions, designed to foster communication and interaction across our region.

For our inaugural year, we will be hosting a one day regional Mid-Atlantic Bioanthropology Interest Group research conference sponsored by the Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Invitations to submit your research for presentation will be distributed later in the year.

Please share this information with your colleagues, peers, and graduate students in the Mid-Atlantic (we are not exclusive - so Mid-Atlantic can include as much of the region as you'd like!), follow #MABIG, and put the date on your calendar.

If you would like to be involved in the conference and haven't already received an announcement, please contact Amy Rector Verrelli ( We are looking forward to a good time in October!
