Professor William Stini passed away the night of Sunday, June 22. Dr. Stini came to the University of Arizona in 1976 as a Professor in the Department of Anthropology. He became a Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine in 1979, an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences in 1997, and a Professor in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health in 1998. He served as Assistant Head of the Department of Anthropology in 1979–1980 and Head of the Department of Anthropology from 1980 to 1989. While at the UA, Dr. Stini served as editor for the American Association of Physical Anthropologists and served a term at Oxford University.
