Important Announcement for Upcoming AAPA Meeting Attendees: If you are a graduate student or recent Ph.D. wondering how to get a job in biological anthropology, make sure to join us, the AAPA Career Development Committee, at the Annual Meeting in Albuquerque! Our mission is to help prepare you for the job market. As such, we are presenting a session to help you do so.

This year it is entitled:

"Teaching: The Forgotten Skill in Obtaining an Academic Job," and is scheduled for Saturday 16 April 2010 in the meeting hotel’s Fireplace room starting just after Noon. Make sure to bring your lunch and plenty of questions to this informal “brown bag” session.

Presenters include two established faculty members: Dr. Martin Nickels, Professor Emeritus of Anthropology at Illinois State University, and Dr. Barbara O’Connell, Professor and Chair of Anthropology at Hamline University.

Two relatively new faculty members will also provide input on their teaching experiences: Dr. Loren Lease, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Youngstown State University, and Dr. Scott Burnett, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Eckerd College.
