Registration is open for the course "Introduction to Genomic data analysis using HapMap and 1000 genomes projects – 5th edition"; February 1-5, 2016.

AAPA MEMBERS HAVE A 20 % DISCOUNT.

Instructors: Dr. Marc Via (University of Barcelona, Spain) and Dr. Robert Carreras-Torres (International Agency for Research on Cancer, France).

Site: Premises of Sabadell of the Institut Catalá de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont (Bercelona, Spain).

In this course you will get familiar with the data arising from The HapMap and the 1000 Genomes Projects and learn how to use it alone or in combination with other datasets to answer genetic, demographic and evolutionary questions. The course will alternate theory with practical computer exercises but it will focus on hands-on training. Although examples will be based on single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data in human individuals, most topics covered in this course can be extended to other types of markers and organisms.
