On behalf of the International Society for Applied Biological Sciences (ISABS) and ISABS’s co-founders Prof. Dragan Primorac, Prof. Moses Schanfield and Prof. Stanimir Vuk-Pavlović, we have the pleasure to invite you to “The Eleventh ISABS Conference on Forensic and Anthropologic Genetics and Mayo Clinic Lectures in Individualized Medicine” (www.isabs.hr), which will be held in Split, June 17th - June 22th, 2019, at Hotel Le Meridien Lav.

More than 60 invited speakers from established international institutions, such as Mayo Clinic, Harvard Medical School, MIT, Max-Planck-Institute, Penn State University, Columbia University, University of Cambridge, University of Stanford, Case Western Reserve University, Massachusetts General Hospital, The Wistar Institute, Princeton University, Duke University, University of New Haven, etc., will address important topics on personalized and regenerative medicine, pharmacogenetics, cancer genetics, stem cell therapy, molecular diagnostics, forensic and anthropological genetics and more.

Additionally, four Nobel Laureates will join the event and hold special lectures: dr. Robert Huber (Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry), dr. Avram Hershko (Technion), dr. Paul Modrich (Duke University), Thomas C. Südhof (University of Stanford School of Medicine).

To mark the jubilee of the conference, a special interactive session will be organized together with the Nobel Laureates for the general public. “The Nobel Spirit" session, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 19, will be aired live on national television with the aim to encourage public discussion on the role of science in answering both global and regional health issues. The Gala Dinner and Young Investigator Awards Ceremony will take place immediately after “The Nobel Spirit" session.

The Conference, which will be attended by more than 600 participants from more than 50 countries, is organized by the International Society for Applied Biological Sciences (ISABS) together with Mayo Clinic, and St. Catherine Hospital. Co-organizers are: George Washington University, Penn State University, University of New Haven, Unfallkrankenhaus-Berlin, Regiomed Kliniken, Genos, universities of Split, Osijek and Rijeka, Children’s Hospital «Srebrnjak», Clinic for infectious diseases “Dr. Fran Mihaljević”, Croatian Institute of Anthropology, whereas the special Conference partner is the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the most influential forensic organization in the world.
