Wayne State University Biological/Physical Anthropology position
We welcome innovative and creative syntheses as well as research plans that can take advantage of the opportunities presented by Detroit and Southeastern Michigan’s location at the center of a growing health industry, research, and teaching complex. A record of peer-reviewed publications, external funding, and excellence in teaching is expected. The successful candidate will participate in a four-field department. He/she will be expected to take primary responsibility for introductory and upper-level courses in Biological/Physical Anthropology including courses in his/her own area of specialization and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biological anthropology, forensic anthropology, and required core curriculum courses -- and will also be responsible for recruiting and mentoring graduate students and interfacing with Medical, Archaeology, and/or Museum curriculum tracks within the Department.
