Virginia Commonwealth University Professor of Social and Behavioral Health
We seek applications from creative, innovative individuals who want to share in our vision of an innovative department with a commitment to excellence in research and scholarship across the entire healthcare continuum. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in public health or a social or behavioral science (e.g., sociology, anthropology, psychology) with a focus on health. The successful applicant will have current national-level, external grant funding and demonstrated, sustained success as a principal investigator. Successful candidates must also have a strong record of peer-reviewed publications. Applicants are specifically sought who have expertise in behavioral and structural interventions and multi-method research. Individuals whose research targets health disparities are encouraged to apply. Individuals who study the translation and dissemination of health-related innovations and/or employ multi-level or network approaches are also encouraged to apply. Applicants with a research focus in AIDS, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer are of particular interest.
The successful candidate will be expected to bring and continue development of their research program and to teach in the department's graduate programs.
