University of Mississippi biological anthropologist

The University of Mississippi invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Anthropology. This is a tenure track position beginning August 2013. We are looking for a biological anthropologist with a specialty in bioarcheology and a traditional, four-field education. A background in osteology with an area interest in the southeastern United States or Mesoamerica would allow this person to take advantage of opportunities for research collaboration within the department.

Ph.D.‘s and advanced ABD’s in anthropology will be considered. We will be interviewing at the AAA meetings.
