University at Albany SUNY professor of Human Population Biology

The Department of Anthropology of the University at Albany (SUNY) seeks to hire a professor of Human Population Biology in Contemporary Populations, rank open. The candidate should have a research focus concerning nutrition, reproductive ecology, fetal programming, immunology and/or demography, among contemporary human populations. The candidate will be expected to teach classes relevant to a large and growing Human Biology Major, as well as graduate classes in human biology.


Requirements:

The successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree from a university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization. Applicants at the assistant professor level must possess a significant record of scholarship and have demonstrated ability to develop an independent, extramurally funded program of research. Applicants for an associate or full professor appointment must have a strong publication record and sustained levels of extramural research support, including an active grant.
