The Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor in Biological/Physical Anthropology, under the direction of the Department Chair. Responsibilities include conducting research, teaching, advising and mentoring students in the area of biological/physical anthropology, and service to the department. We seek a researcher whose area complements current strengths in Molecular Anthropology, Human Ecology and Forensic Anthropology, including, but are not limited to, Paleoanthropology, Skeletal Biology, or Bioarchaeology. Applicant should be prepared to teach primarily undergraduate courses, including a selection of advanced biological anthropology courses.
