The Department of Anthropology within the Division of Social Sciences at the University of California, San Diego ( ) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking a biological anthropologist who specializes in evolutionary anthropology.

We are seeking an energetic scholar with an active research program who can engage with our department as a whole for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning July 1, 2013. Successful candidates will be judged both on research accomplishments and potential for and demonstrated leadership in areas contributing to diversity.
