The Department of Anthropology, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, seeks a Lecturer (non-tenure-track) in Biological Anthropology, 75% appointment, for the 2012-2013 academic year. Ph.D. candidacy in Anthropology required, Ph.D. in Anthropology is preferred. Demonstrated teaching experience required; evidence of research background relevant to courses is preferred.
Duties include: teach 6 courses (3 per semester) at undergraduate and graduate levels, including Introduction to Anthropology, Introduction to Biological Anthropology, and courses on modern human variation and human evolution. Deadline for Application: July 27, 2012 or until filled. Effective Date of Appointment: August 16, 2012. Appointment ends May 15, 2013, but is renewable contingent on performance and departmental need.
