Jul 09, 2013 12:26 PM
The Department of Archaeology at the University of Cape Town invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in quantitative morphology, focusing on the phenotypic expression of various evolutionary forces (e.g. hybridization, drift) and other phenomena (e.g. inbreeding) in the skeletons of mice and primates. We are seeking a highly motivated researcher who will help to coordinate a number of existing projects, in conjunction with an academic supervisor and PhD/MSc students, and will also drive the research in new directions.
Ideal candidates will be expected to have a background in skeletal variation across primates and possibly other mammals, and exposure to quantitative evolutionary theory and methods. Applicants should send a CV, academic transcripts, and 3 letters of recommendation to Becky Ackermann (email@example.com).
