Oakland University tenure-track Assistant Professor position
The department is dynamic and collegial, with full-time faculty including eleven sociologists, three anthropologists, four social workers, and three in criminal justice. The undergraduate Anthropology Program currently enrolls 60 majors and 25 double majors with Sociology. All Anthropology faculty teach at least one introductory course per semester, in addition to courses in their areas of specialization. The standard teaching load is five (5) courses per academic year.
Applications must include a letter discussing qualifications, CV, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and publication or scholarly writing sample. The application letter should discuss a research agenda as well as teaching philosophy, interests, and experience.
