The Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Philosophy at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biological Anthropology beginning August 2013. Research interests are open, but candidates should be prepared to teach introduction to physical anthropology, physical anthropology lab, human osteology, world prehistory, and introduction to cultural anthropology. In addition, candidates must be able to develop upper-division courses in one or more of these areas: medical anthropology, human evolution, primate behavior, and forensic anthropology.

Candidates must have Ph.D. in hand, evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching, a current research project, professional papers and/or publications in hand, success in writing grants, willingness to involve undergraduate students in research, and willingness to participate in civic engagement.
