Research Position in Human Evolution The Department of Human Evolution of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig (Germany) invites applications for a junior research position. It concerns a research-only post with no teaching obligations. We expect the successful candidate to work closely with Professor Fred Spoor on research exploring the bony labyrinth of hominin fossils, using high-resolution CT and advanced morphometric methods.

Time for independent research will be available as well. The department will provide substantial support in a highly stimulating environment. The selected candidate will have a Ph.D. and, ideally, post-doctoral experience with a strong track record of research. The initial length of the appointment is two years but the contract is extensible. For further information please contact Professor Fred Spoor (f.spoor@eva.mpg.de). The search will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found.
