Summary: The Lecturer position’s principal duties are to instruct and provide logistical support for students in Biological Sciences 202 and 203 (Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) I and II) and Bio Sci 103 (Topics in Modern Biology). The incumbent will present lectures for sections of up to 400+ students; prepare exam questions, related materials and coordinate grading in lectures and laboratory sections; play an active role in developing new methods of pedagogy; maintain class records, respond to course-related email, hold office hours for student consultation and maintain a course web site; coordinate laboratory sections and Teaching Assistants participating in these courses; advise students majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology; teach an introductory level course in physiology or related topics; assist in the preparation of grants for lab and course improvement; and participate in departmental support and service activities as assigned.
