Institute for Human Evolution, University of the Witwatersrand, Postdoctoral fellowship
The recently formed Institute for Human Evolution (IHE) is inviting applications for a postdoctoral fellow to join a growing morphometrics research group. The successful applicant is expected to utilize the newly-installed, high-end visualization computing facility in the IHE. Experience with Amira/Avizo or VGStudio Max (or equivalent programs) is a prerequisite. Applicants with experience in geometric morphometrics, particularly with regards to postcrania, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates must have completed a PhD within the last five years, but those who will be finished by the anticipated start date (August 2010) will be considered also. A complete application includes a current curriculum vita, a one-page research statement detailing present research interests, and names and contact information for two references.
