The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology invites applications for a tenure-track position in physical anthropology at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2013.

Qualifications include: A Ph.D. in anthropology at the time of signing the contract as well as teaching and research experience in physical anthropology are required. The preferred candidate will expand our physical anthropology course offerings while complementing current faculty strengths in archaeology and/or cultural anthropology. International and/or applied research expertise as well as grant acquisition abilities are added assets.

Applicants must have a strong instructional and research record, and be prepared to teach undergraduate courses of various size and type, from introductory to culminating and from experiential to theoretical. The position also demands student mentoring, departmental service, and an active research agenda.
