Applications are invited for a permanent University Lectureship in Human Biology, to start on 1st April 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Division of Biological Anthropology
Department of Archaeology and Anthropology

£37,012 - £46,846 per annum

Applicants will be expected to have a PhD, a proven ability to carry out research, a strong publication record and, preferably, an active research programme, or plans for one, which will attract graduate students and post-doctoral researchers. The post holder will be expected to have knowledge and expertise in either human nutritional ecology or reproductive ecology and, ideally, to be primarily laboratory based, overseeing research and teaching in the Human Biology Laboratory. Applicants must be able to teach biostatistics, to take a leading role in the teaching of human ecology, and to provide teaching in thematic courses within the Division and Department, as appropriate.  In addition to research, normal duties include lecturing, examination and assessment, supervision of MPhil and PhD students, Divisional, Departmental and University administration.
