The Applied Forensic Sciences Department at Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA invites applications for a one-year full-time forensic anthropology post doctoral position for the 2017-2018 academic year. The candidate will be expected to teach four (4) undergraduate/graduate courses in bioanthropology, human skeletal biology, and forensic anthropology as well as assist with forensic anthropology/forensic archaeology cases both in the field and in the laboratory. Other departmental duties may include updating case databases, overseeing case correspondence, assisting with grant applications, and mentoring students in forensic casework and research. Preference will be given to those with previous experience working on forensic cases and/or conducting human skeletal analyses. PhD preferred, but ABD are encouraged to apply.
